Get started with compute providers

From zero to a connected compute provider in under five minutes.

Get started with compute providers

A cloud account links your infrastructure — AWS, Azure, GCP, LXD, or on-premises — to Vantage so the platform can provision and manage compute resources on your behalf.

Add as many accounts as you need, one per project, region, or team.

If you already know which provider you want, jump straight to the full connect guide.

Open Cloud Accounts

Open Settings > Cloud Accounts and click + Create Cloud Account.

Select a provider

Choose your provider from the list: AWS, Azure, GCP, LXD, or On-Premises.

Enter credentials

Fill in the provider-specific fields (name, credentials, and any additional details). Each provider requires different inputs — see the connect guide for the exact steps.

Submit and validate

Click Create Cloud Account. Vantage validates the credentials and saves the account. Once saved, it is available during cluster creation.

One cloud account can back multiple clusters. You don't need a separate account per cluster, but if you need compute in multiple AWS regions, you may want one account per region depending on how your IAM roles are scoped.
