Manage Your Subscription
Use the Subscription page to view your current plan, check resource limits, and upgrade when you need more capacity.
Prerequisites
- You are signed in to Vantage with an admin role
- Your organization has an active subscription or free trial
View your current subscription plan
- In the left navigation, select Admin.
- Select the Subscription tab.
- Review your plan details, including the plan tier, subscription type, creation date, and whether the subscription is a free trial.
The subscription page shows a status indicator if action is needed, such as when you are on a free trial or an AWS unsubscribe is pending.
Understand plan limits
Each subscription tier defines limits on the resources your organization can use.
| Tier | Seats | Clusters | Storage systems |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 5 | 2 | 2 |
| Teams | 20 | 10 | 10 |
| Pro | 50 | 20 | 20 |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
AWS Marketplace subscriptions have a fixed limit of 50 seats, 20 clusters, and 20 storage systems.
To check how many resources you are currently using against these limits:
- Navigate to Admin > Subscription.
- Compare your current cluster count, user count, and storage count against the limits for your tier.
When you reach a limit, Vantage prevents you from creating additional resources of that type. For example, you will see a message such as "You have reached the maximum number of clusters allowed. Please upgrade your subscription to create more clusters."
Upgrade or change plans
Upgrade a cloud subscription
- Navigate to Admin > Subscription.
- Review your current tier and resource usage.
- Select the option to upgrade your plan.
- Choose the new tier and confirm.
If you are on a free trial (14 days), upgrading replaces the trial with a paid subscription.
Switch to an AWS Marketplace subscription
- Visit the Vantage listing on AWS Marketplace.
- Subscribe to the Vantage product. AWS redirects you to Vantage with a marketplace token.
- Sign in to Vantage. The platform detects the marketplace token and prompts you to finalize the subscription.
- Confirm the AWS subscription details. If you had a free trial, it is automatically replaced.
The finalized subscription appears on the Admin > Subscription tab with the type shown as aws.
View billing and usage
- Navigate to Admin > Subscription.
- Review the subscription creation date, expiration date (if applicable), and active status.
- For AWS Marketplace subscriptions, billing is managed through your AWS account. Navigate to the AWS Marketplace console to view invoices and payment history.
For cloud (non-AWS) subscriptions, contact your Vantage account representative for billing details.
Manage an AWS Marketplace subscription
Check subscription status
- Navigate to Admin > Subscription.
- Verify the subscription type is aws and the status is active.
- If the subscription shows unsubscribe_pending, the cancellation has been initiated through AWS but has not yet taken effect.
Check for a pending subscription
If you recently subscribed through AWS Marketplace and your subscription has not yet activated, Vantage may still be processing the marketplace registration. The Subscription tab shows a pending state until AWS confirms the subscription.
Cancel an AWS subscription
- Navigate to the AWS Marketplace console.
- Locate the Vantage subscription and select Cancel subscription.
- In Vantage, the Subscription tab updates to show the unsubscribe-pending status.
Cancellation is processed by AWS. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Check free trial availability
Each organization is eligible for one 14-day free trial on the Starter tier. Once used, the free trial cannot be restarted.
- Navigate to Admin > Subscription.
- If no subscription exists, the option to start a free trial is shown when the organization has not previously used one.
